The co-owners of French Press Coffeehouse, Timothée Guilbart and Johnnie Ethington, have talked about opening a coffee shop since the day they met at a hostel in Bangkok in 2017. After returning to Johnnie’s hometown and experiencing a void in the community, their goal broadened to providing a “third place” for the people of Teton Valley. A place as comfortable and routine as their office and home.
After moving back home, we found there still was not a conducive place for remote workers, students, small business owners and young adults to gather. We are excited to be the ones to bring this necessary addition to our town.

Despite supply chain shortages due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the couple sourced a variety of goods from across Idaho and as far away as France, Timothée’s home country. They provide classic and inspired high-quality coffee drinks, a wide selection of teas, fresh-pressed and bottled juices, and baked goods and premium snacks that fit every dietary preference. Those craving caffeine-free options can try our Georgia Mist, “Rose Milk” and Chocolat Chaud. Specialty food offerings range from locally-made and freshly-baked French and German pastries to vegan and gluten-free cookies to truffle chips and charcuterie boxes.
We have something for all dietary preferences, with a sprinkling of beloved childhood favorites from both France and America.
